Abstract: The invention provides a privacy enclosure and entryway for a boat having a hull and a substantially planar deck mounted on the hull. The privacy enclosure and entryway comprises a first railing extending along at least a portion of the periphery of a first side of the deck with the first railing having an end, a second railing extending along at least a portion of the periphery of a second side of the deck, the second railing being substantially perpendicular to the first railing at the end, a door in the second railing adjacent the end, and a pivotable ledge mounted on the first railing adjacent the end and adapted to allow ingress to and egress from the deck through the door when pivoted in a vertical upright orientation and block ingress to and egress from the deck when pivoted in a horizontal lowered orientation.

Abstract: A casting deck insert unit is disclosed, which is a sturdily constructed, generally box-shaped planar structure shaped and dimensioned to be closely received in and essentially cover the walk-through area in the bow of a bass boat. The unit has an upper surface deck plate which, in its inserted position, is flush with the upper surface of the elevated forward fishing deck and the upper surfaces of the storage compartment structures which are positioned on opposite sides of the walk-through area. Disposed in this manner in the walk-through area, the deck insert unit significantly increases the elevated deck area at the bow of the bass boat. The additional "walk around" area provided by the unit affords the bow fisherman much greater mobility around the front elevated area, and it enables both bass fisherman to comfortably utilize the front casting deck area, if desired.

Abstract: A boat including a hull having a bow end, a raised surface in the bow end, a console supported on the hull for pivotal movement between a lowered position and a raised position, an apparatus for defining a storage compartment extending beneath the console when the console is in the lowered position and extending beneath and the raised surface, and an apparatus for affording access to the storage compartment when the console is in the raised position and for preventing access to the storage compartment when the console is in the lowered position, the apparatus for affording and preventing access including a storage compartment cover supported on the console for movement therewith.
