  • Patent number: 8602210
Abstract: A portable cigar case includes a body having at least one cavity for receiving and releasably retaining a cigar. A cap is releasably connected to the body. The cap when in an open condition provides access to the cigar. A moisture retainer is provided in one of the body or the cap. The moisture retainer provides a source of moisture to maintain a humidity level of the cigar when the cap is in a closed condition with respect to the body. A vial containing a drinkable fluid is retained by one of the body or the cap. The vial is made of a transparent or semitransparent material such that the fluid in the vial is visible to a user. A viewing window created in the cigar case is aligned with the vial such that the fluid in the vial is visible through the viewing window.

  • Publication number: 20020099363
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and associated method for advantageously treating bodily tissue containing collagen, such as ophthalmic tissue. The treatment includes providing a pattern of heating to which the tissue is to be exposed and the exposure of that tissue to shrink collagen therein. In ophthalmic applications, the pattern includes at least one region that corresponds to an ocular region of from about 4 mm to about 20 mm radially from the optical axis. The shrinkage of collagen within this ocular region improves accommodation for near vision. The present invention thus provides an effective treatment for the ocular condition of presbyopia.

  • Patent number: 5282666
Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly is disclosed which includes an integral child seat that can be deployed for use in seating a child or maintained in a stowed position enabling the seat to be occupied by an adult. The seat assembly includes a pair of panels movably mounted to the seat back. When the side panels are moved outwardly, they extend forwardly from the seat back forming side bolsters for the child seat. Troughs are revealed adjacent to the side bolsters which contain the shoulder belts of the child restraint system. The child seat back cushion is disposed between the two troughs and is comprised of the same seat back surface as used by an adult when seated in the seat assembly. As a result of using the same seat back surface for both the child seat and an adult, the seating comfort of the adult seat back is maintained at the same level as with a conventional seat assembly not having an integral child seat.
