    Abstract: A swimsuit is provided having the holding power of a typical figure control swimsuit using a single panel construction. The fabric of the swimsuit includes a substantially uniform stretch in both the longitudinal and horizontal directions. The fabric is cut to include a high modulus in the horizontal direction of the suit, as compared to the vertical direction, so as to provide improved retention and camouflage of body parts.
