  • Patent number: 9701315
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes determining, based on first information received from a first mobile device within a vehicle, that the first mobile device is associated with a first person. The method includes determining first in-vehicle display preference information and a first vehicle occupant position of a plurality of vehicle occupant positions for the first person. The method also includes selecting, based on the first vehicle occupant position, a first projector of a plurality of projectors within the vehicle. The method further includes providing data representing display information to the first projector to enable the first projector to project the display information onto a display associated with a first window of the vehicle. The display information is determined based on the first in-vehicle display preference information for the first person.

  • Publication number: 20150149280
Abstract: A method, computer-readable storage device and apparatus for transmitting an offer for an item are disclosed. For example, a method receives from a social network an indication of a desire of a user for an item and receives from a device of a retailer an indication of an offer for the item. The method then determines a location of a device of the user, detects a proximity of the device of the user to a location of the retailer and transmits the offer for the item to the device of the user when the proximity of the device of the user to the location of the retailer is detected.

  • Patent number: 8868788
Abstract: A method includes receiving a registration request including a first dictionary definition. The registration request is associated with user equipment. The method includes transmitting to the user equipment a response including a second dictionary definition. The method includes transmitting subsequent messages to the user equipment if the first and second dictionary definitions agree, the subsequent messages being compressed using the first static dictionary.

  • Patent number: 7796592
Abstract: Methods and apparatus including a virtual machine and a compression network platform are provided especially for improving the application of compression algorithms and unique identifiers for bytecode and bytecode packages including associated static dictionaries utilized to advantage in wireless networks. In particular, a given virtual machine need only identify to a receiving virtual machine the unique package identifier for one or more of an algorithm, a static dictionary or a hash for decompressing a received data signal. The receiving virtual machine may advertise what it has locally available to it so that no uploading is necessary. The actuation of bytecode by identifier may be requested at a given destination within the parameters set by RFC 3320.

  • Patent number: 4893336
Abstract: An improved call forwarding arrangement where forwarded calls receive different terminating treatment from non-forwarded calls, for example providing a readily detectable, distinctive alerting signal for forwarded calls or completing only forwarded calls to a station and denying or forwarding other calls without requiring any customer involvement. The arrangement provides an improved call forwarding service for customers with advanced station display capabilities and, in addition, allows selective answering of only forwarded calls by customers that have conventional, analog station equipment. Both switch-based and station-based implements are disclosed.
