    Abstract: Sleep management systems and methods detect and prevent snoring by monitoring sounds of a sleeping person. A monitoring system receives the detected snoring sound signal and generates a harmonic fingerprint of the sleeping person. A snoring score is generated and a signal is transmitted to an alert generation unit if the snoring score is above a threshold value. An alert is generated alerts to stimulate the sleeping person to transition between sleep-states enabling opening of the upper airways and reduced or stopped snoring sound.
