  • Patent number: 11933476
Abstract: Optical lenses and associated luminaire are described herein. In one aspect, a lens comprises a light receiving side comprising grooves for receiving light emitting diodes, the grooves defined by a central refractive region and walls comprising total internal reflection faces; and a light extraction side opposite the light receiving side, the light extraction side comprising refractive extraction surfaces, total internal reflection extraction surfaces, or combinations thereof. In some embodiments, luminaire comprises an array of light emitting diodes; and the lens positioned over the array of light emitting diodes.

  • Patent number: 9510918
Abstract: Various embodiments provide a computer-implemented method for dynamically manipulating a three-dimensional virtual model representing a patient's teeth so as to facilitate visualization of an orthodontic treatment plan being applied thereto. The method comprises: rendering the three-dimensional virtual model based, at least in part, upon one or more images of a patient's teeth, and manipulating the three-dimensional virtual model via a translational movement in a two-dimensional computer display area and along a plane vertically oriented relative to the oppositely-oriented teeth. The translational movement imposes a translational manipulation upon a first one of the two sets of oppositely oriented teeth and a rotational manipulation upon a second one of the two sets of oppositely oriented teeth, the simultaneous manipulation being configured to open the teeth relative to one another so as to facilitate visualization of an orthodontic treatment plan.

  • Patent number: 7152548
Abstract: A boat comprises an elevator and a boat hull having a deck and defining a dive opening. The dive opening extends vertically from the deck to the water and defines an enclosed passageway having upper and lower openings. Depending on the dive opening's location in the boat hull, the passageway may or may not be enclosed on all sides. Means are included for selectively moving the elevator between a raised configuration above the dive opening and a lowered configuration by passing through the passageway. A floor of the elevator is adjacent the boat hull deck when the elevator is at the raised configuration, and the elevator floor is below a water surface when the elevator is at the lowered configuration so a user may easily travel between the water and the elevator. Means for actuating the means for moving the elevator are preferably accessible from inside and outside the elevator.
