  • Publication number: 20200246640
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for treating patients with ultrasound targeted at regions of the brain. An ultrasound transducer is positioned on a patient's head to target a region of the patient's brain for ultrasound therapy. An ultrasound wave is emitted at the target region of the patient's brain. At least partially concurrently, a fMRI imaging device generates real time images of activity in the patient's brain, for example by ASL protocol, BOLD protocol, or a combination thereof. Activity in the patient's brain caused by the ultrasound wave is detected, typically a distance ? from the target region. The transducer is repositioned or reoriented to correct for ? and better target the region, and another series of ultrasound waves are directed at the target region with improved accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20130097845
Abstract: When it comes to an expansion plug (1) including an anchor bolt (2) with an expansion element (3) on a first end section (6) of the anchor bolt (2) having a longitudinal axis (10), preferably also including at least one force-applier (20) on the anchor bolt (2) in order to hold loads, and also including an expansion sleeve (4) surrounding the anchor bolt (2), the objective is to avoid an axial movement of the expansion sleeve (14), especially in the case of a drilled hole diameter in the lower tolerance range or in the case of a hollow space. The expansion plug (1) has at least one eccentric geometry, so that an expansion of the expansion sleeve (4) can be achieved by a rotational movement of the anchor bolt (2), especially around the longitudinal axis (10) as the axis of rotation (9).

  • Patent number: 7392097
Abstract: A system for preventative maintenance of a ride or an attraction component at a venue. A validator establishes the identity of the ride or attraction component and a controller monitors the use of the ride or attraction component. The controller also manage the ride or attraction component's availability for patron usage and transmits this information to a system control panel. A blocking device controlled by the panel prevents patron usage of a ride or attraction component that is in non-compliance with pre-established operating standards.

  • Publication number: 20070006322
Abstract: A system and method for providing, managing, and accessing a multi-user secure portable database using secure memory cards is provided. The database has a secure portion for storing security keys and a non-secure portion for encrypted data files. Access to the encrypted data files is controlled by assigning access rights through an access control matrix to each encrypted data file according to a hierarchical structure of users. A user requesting access is identified in the hierarchy, associated with a key for allowing the requested access, and the requested access allowed to a file in accordance with the rights allocated through the access control matrix. A patient can selectively grant access to encrypted medical records on his card to a physician. Authentication of the owner/patient is preferably required. Other records required by emergency medical personnel are readable from the same card without requiring permission from the patient.
