  • Publication number: 20230327766
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing WAN, LAN and power to allocated spaces such as offices, apartments, condominiums, or dormitories comprises a plurality of fiber taps configured to interface with optical fiber communications incoming from an ISP and also to interface with a local supply of power. The combined communications and power are distributed to downstream equipment including customer premises equipment, including conversion of the ISP’s protocol into one or more protocols appropriate for interfacing with the downstream devices through the use of one or more specially-configured fiber gateways, plates and fiber media converters. Power line monitoring and management permits local and remote monitoring and control of each branch of the the local network, including detection of excessive power use or loss of power indicating an alarm or warning condition.

  • Publication number: 20200204642
Abstract: System for ontological evaluation and filtering of digital content evaluates metadata associated with content available from an original content server. The metadata is filtered and evaluated by a processing cluster to develop correlation among content for the formation of content “channels”. In general, the filtering and evaluation criteria use predictive algorithms and seek to identify content that is likely to be desired for download by the consumers located at, for example, a particular multi-dwelling unit. The content, once so correlated, is then grouped or aggregated into “channels”.

  • Patent number: 10264090
Abstract: System and method for distributing channelized content to a plurality of cohesive local networks. The channelized content is aggregated at a remote central processor with associated storage according to ontological relevancy, and then distributed over a network such as the internet to the local networks. The consumers connected to the respective local networks receive that channelized data with low latency and improved data rates.

  • Publication number: 20150311753
Abstract: A PoE to USB adapter comprises the electronic circuitry to take the incoming PoE signal and extract 5 volts DC from the power segment of the signal and provide that voltage, along with the bi-directional data contained within the PoE signal to a standard USB 3.0 connector.

  • Publication number: 20050226153
Abstract: A flow allocation system includes a set of collection agents, a set of restriction agents, a processing agent and at least one usage limit selected from a volume limit set and a rate limit set. The flow allocation system is implemented between a set of usage devices and a service network. The collection agents monitor flows between the usage devices and the service network. The processing agent sums the flows for each of the usage devices, determines whether any of the summed flows reach the usage limit, and selects at least one flow restriction rule for the subset of usage devices reaching the usage limit. The set of restriction agents implement the flow restriction control rule for the subset of usage devices reaching the usage limit. The processing agent also uses exception handling techniques to shift usage quotas for the usage devices.
