Patent number: 11929074Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically generating a meeting summary is disclosed herein. Meeting audio is recorded and converted into a text-based transcript. Handwritten meeting notes are converted into notes text. The transcript and notes text are correlated to provide correlated meeting text. Meeting topics are determined from the correlated meeting text. A meeting summary is generated from the meeting topics.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Dell Products L.P.Inventors: Benedict Tiong Chee Tay, Mark John Law, Chin Leong Ong, Jonathan Sebastian Yarborough Wood, Li Weixian, Yunguo Chen

Patent number: 11913436Abstract: There is provided a method of driving a shape memory alloy haptic assembly comprising an actuator comprising shape memory alloy that is arranged on actuation to provide a haptic effect, the method comprising supplying drive current to the actuator successively during a pre-heating period in which the temperature of the shape memory alloy is raised without causing the shape memory alloy to provide the haptic effect and during an actuation period in which the temperature of the shape memory alloy is raised so as to cause the shape memory alloy to provide the haptic effect. A shape memory alloy haptic assembly is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: CAMBRIDGE MECHATRONICS LIMITEDInventors: Mark Easton, Andrew Benjamin Simpson Brown, Marc-Sebastian Scholz

Publication number: 20160294927Abstract: A variable data usage personal medical system including a self-care device attached to a patient, and operable to generate self-care device data and to transmit the self-care device data at a fixed interval; a cellular communication device operable to receive and store the transmitted self-care device data, to register a count at an interval counter for each of the fixed intervals in which the transmitted self-care device data is received, to generate a data cellular packet from overhead plus the stored self-care device data when the interval counter equals a fixed interval index, and to transmit the data packet; and a cloud infrastructure operably connected to the cellular communication device over a cellular network, and operable to receive, process, and store the transmitted data packet. The cloud infrastructure is operable to transmit a value for the fixed interval index to the cellular communication device for storage.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2016Publication date: October 6, 2016Inventors: Fan Meng, Gary A. Cohen, Eileen H. Dempster, George W. Patterson, Cary D. Talbot, Mark Sebastian Verghese, Maral Gharib

Publication number: 20060253289Abstract: Computer system for controlled creation, processing, administration and display of quality information within an enterprise. Linkages may be defined among enterprise entities, process/product development attributes, strategies, goals, process improvement opportunities, etc. Visual analysis of data associated with the linkages is provided in an interactive fashion. Linkages may also be defined among online quality-related documentation throughout an enterprise such that information is automatically propagated/reconciled through the enterprise in a controlled and efficient fashion. The creation of process documentation for new products is facilitated based on a concept of content/document inheritance.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 1, 2004Publication date: November 9, 2006Inventors: Chandran Kymal, Gregory Gruska, Justin Schiller, Ge Zhang, David Watkins, Mark Sebastian

Publication number: 20040014066Abstract: The invention provides a method of detecting in a sample the activity of an antibiotic which affects cell integrity, which method comprises the steps of: a) providing a transformed microorganism which comprises a nucleic acid encoding a promoter operably linked to a heterologous reporter gene capable of causing a detectable signal; b) contacting the sample with the transformed microorganism; c) observing said microorganism for said detectable signal, wherein the promoter is regulated by a two-component signal transduction system, which signal components are: i) a receptor responsive to changes in the cell envelope or membrane of the microorganism, ii) a trans-acting factor which is activated in response to stimulation by the receptor, and which regulates the promoter. Preferred signal components are derived from CseB and CseC which regulate a sigE promoter. Also provided are corresponding microorganisms, systems, kits, and processes of use of these things.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 22, 2003Publication date: January 22, 2004Inventors: Hee-Jeon Hong, Mark Sebastian Boye Paget, Mark Jeremy Buttner
