  • Publication number: 20200344512
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for distributing asset opportunities across COD providers. One system includes an asset load manager (ALM) that receives information from the COD providers about asset opportunities for COD content of the COD providers. The ALM selected asset opportunity and delivers it to a trading platform that offers the asset opportunity to the remaining COD providers. The ALM also receives, from the trading platform, sale information of the asset opportunity to another of the COD providers and information of an asset used to fill the asset opportunity. An asset opportunity information system (AOIS) interfaces with an asset decision system (ADS), to direct the ADS to configure asset rankings and removals according to rules of the second COD provider. The ADS directs an asset insertion into the COD content of the first COD provider based on the asset ranking.

  • Patent number: 9485537
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for asset recommendations based on asset effectiveness determinations. In one embodiment, an asset recommendation system operable to recommend insertion of assets into Video On Demand (VOD) content being selected by users through Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). The system includes a recommendation engine communicatively coupled to an asset effectiveness evaluation module and to an asset decision system, wherein the recommendation engine is operable to accumulate demographic information associated with the determined effectiveness of the assets, to generate an anonymous user profile based on the accumulated demographic information and the associated effectiveness of the assets, and to recommend assets for insertion to the asset decision system based on the anonymous user profile.

  • Patent number: 8789341
Abstract: A method and system is provided for constructing a multilevel structure using a hybrid top chord bearing floor framing system. The method and system may include a top chord bearing floor truss positioned on a first frame structure. The top chord of the truss may include a load-bearing interface with a top surface and a bottom surface. The truss may be wholly supported by the load-bearing interface of the top chord. The method and system may further include a second frame structure on the top surface of the truss. The first frame structure may be secured to the second frame structure via a fastener that extends through both the second bottom load bearing member and load-bearing interface of the truss into the first top load bearing member of the first frame structure.

  • Publication number: 20070086221
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for converting power from a power source are described. In one example embodiment, the method includes controlling multiple transformer and switchgear units coupled to a power source, and controlling multiple converter units connected in parallel. Each converter unit is coupled to a respective one of the transformer and switchgear units to form an individual thread. The transformer and switchgear unit and power converters are controlled so that the carrier waveforms for each individual thread are interleaved between each other over a carrier cycle.

  • Publication number: 20060129986
Abstract: A control system having a host computer and one or more control computers connected to an interface for control of a process or machinery. The control computers are capable of automatically initiated network address assignment and configuration when powered up after installation. The network address is based on a location identifier situated in the interface that corresponds to a specific connection thereof to the control computer. The control computer reads the location identifier from the interface and requests a network address. The host computer assigns the network address based on the location identifier. Configuration of the control computer then proceeds. The procedure applies to newly installed control computers, whether first time installment or a replacement for a failed control computer.

  • Patent number: 6401875
Abstract: A method and apparatus of determining the position of a rotor at standstill relative to a stator in a synchronous motor elevator machine includes injecting an AC current having a predetermined single frequency and a predetermined initial phase angle into a stator coil of the stator, and sampling the injected current and resultant voltage a predetermined number of times per period of the frequency. Subsequently the method calculates a stator inductance from the sampled voltages and currents using a DFT. By incrementing the initial phase angel a predetermined number of times over a 360 degree cycle, and repeating the injecting, sampling, and calculating with each incremented phase angle, the algorithm provides a predetermined number of calculated stator inductances. The position of the d axis relative to the stator is then determined from the minimum of the calculated stator inductances.

Abstract: A system and method for cooling multiple weld tips of a welder. The welding system includes a housing and a plurality of weld tip plungers, each plunger being independently movable with respect to the housing, and each plunger having a mechanism for receiving a weld tip, a first port and a second port. The system also includes a primary input manifold including a mechanism for receiving fluid and at least one outlet port and a primary output manifold including a mechanism for discharging fluid and at least one inlet port. A first hose or hoses for communicating fluid from the at least one outlet port of the primary input manifold to each of the first ports of the plungers and a second hose or hoses for communicating fluid from each of the second ports of the plungers and to the at least one inlet port of the primary output manifold also are included in the system such that a fluid passing between the first and second ports of each plunger may circulate through a weld tip connected to the plunger.
