  • Patent number: 6286031
Abstract: A method for broadcasting a scalable multimedia presentation over the Internet is disclosed. In a specific embodiment, a broadcasting server creates a multimedia list on a per broadcast per recipient basis. The multimedia list includes references to the objects (e.g., URLs) rather than the objects themselves. The broadcasting server transmits the multimedia list to a recipient system. The recipient system runs the multimedia list by retrieving each object on the multimedia list from one or more proxy webservers. The recipient computer enters an availability state associated with an object when it begins to receive the object. For each object, the recipient computer reports an indication of this availability state to the broadcasting server via the proxy webserver. The recipient then displays the objects. The broadcasting server uses the indications of the recipient availability states to load balance the system.

  • Patent number: 5968636
Abstract: A laminate for forming carton blanks wherein a desired aesthetic holographic appearance is sandwiched between a reversed printed transparent plastic film and a relatively rigid paperboard material. In another embodiment, printed matter and a clear lacquer are imposed on spaced portions of holographic etchings on a transparent film to eliminate the holographic etchings in those areas leaving a remaining portion of the holographic etchings. A metallized substrate covers the printed matter, the clear lacquer and the remaining holographic etchings which can then be laminated to a relatively rigid paperboard.

  • Patent number: 4810146
Abstract: A toggle bolt assembly that includes a flexible elongated strip that is hung upon the bolt so that the strip loops over the winged trunnion nut. One end of the strip is hung between the nut and the wings while the opposite end of the strip is hung between the bolt head and the nut. The opposite end of the strip is expanded so that it can be wedged tightly into the clearance hole formed in a hollow through which the wings are passed in assembly. The wedged strip holds the unfolded wings in a non-rotating condition inside the wall.
