    Abstract: A system reserves and provides a user with a workspace that includes a workspace device. A panel includes, and controls, a display. A portal controls operation of the workspace and panel. The portal receives a user request to reserve a workspace for a predetermined period, reserves the workspace based on the user request, including generating a two-dimensional barcode unique to the reserved workspace and that reservation, and transmits the 2D code to the panel for presentation on the display. The portal transmits information about the reserved workspace to a user device, receives from the user device data generated from a scan of the 2D code presented on the display, and in response to receiving the scanned data, activates the reserved workspace and the workspace device. The user is thereby supplied with the reserved workspace by merely providing the user request and then scanning the 2D code using the user device.

A smart locker portal controls operation of the smart locker and the panel, receives a user-initiated request to access a smart locker reserved for the user, generates a 2D code that is unique to the reserved smart locker, transmits the generated 2D code to the panel for presentation on the display, transmits information about the reserved smart locker to a user device, receives from the user device data generated by the user device from a scan of the 2D code presented on the display, and in response to receiving the scanned data, checks in the user into the reserved smart locker and transmits a signal to the reserved smart locker that instructs the smart locker to open so that the user may access the smart locker.

    Abstract: Badge data is read by a local workspace access system associated with a local workspace. An organization associated with the badge data is located, and the badge data is transmitted to the organization. A server associated with the organization receives the badge data, locates a member of the organization associated with the badge data, and transmits the workspace configuration associated with the member. A keyable code is transmitted to a messaging service device of the member, and the keyable code and the workspace configuration are transmitted to the local workspace access system. Member input of the keyable code is received by the local workspace access system which verifies that the inputted keyable code matches the keyable code received. In response to the verification, the workspace configuration is requested and received, the local workspace is configured based on the received workspace configuration and is activated for use by the member.

A workspace personalization management system receives the badge data, locates an organization associated with the badge data, and transmits the badge data to its associated organization. A server associated with the organization receives the badge data, locates a member of the organization who is associated with the badge data, and transmits the workspace configuration associated with the member to the workspace personalization management system. The workspace personalization management system transmits a keyable code to a messaging service device of the member and transmits the keyable code and the workspace configuration associated with the member to the local workspace access system. The local workspace access system receives member input of the keyable code, and verifies that the inputted keyable code matches the keyable code received from the workspace personalization management system.
