Publication number: 20230245104Abstract: One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a system and associated processes for sharing cardholder data (CHD) between a merchant that utilizes tokenization and a second merchant that may or may not utilize tokenization. In one embodiment, the merchant, or an employee of the merchant, can use the system and associated processes to reacquire CHD from a tokenization provider system. In one embodiment, the merchant identifies to the tokenization provider system a desire to share CHD, which is associated with a token, with a second merchant. The merchant and/or the tokenization provider system can then invite the second merchant to register with the tokenization provider system. Once registered with the tokenization provider system, the second merchant can access any CHD that the merchant associated with the second merchant.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2022Publication date: August 3, 2023Inventors: Kevin James Cronic, Steven Mark Sommers, John David Oder, II, John David Oder, Steven Calandrelli, Jeremy B. Publication number: 20220296284Abstract: The present application provides a new and innovative device for aiding in screw installation through a distal end of a nail installed in a patient's bone (e.g., humerus). The nail's distal end is disposed away from an insertion point of the nail into the bone. The targeting device includes a targeting body having an outer frame, a flexible member connected to the outer frame, a targeting block having multiple holes and connected to the flexible member such that the flexibility of the flexible member enables the targeting block to translate towards sides of the outer frame, and an adjustment assembly that adjusts and maintains the targeting block's position relative to the sides of the outer frame. The targeting device further includes a base plate removably coupled to the targeting body. The targeting device may be coupled to the nail at the base plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2022Publication date: September 22, 2022Inventors: Ole Prien, Mark Sommers, Brian Conley, David VanVleet

Publication number: 20210338231Abstract: A new and innovative method of routing a strand of material for creating a self-locking construct that joins two objects is provided. More specifically, the provided routing method includes a crossover point at which the routed strand of material crosses over itself thereby enabling the strand portions routed through one of the objects to travel in a same direction when the self-locking construct is cinched. The strand portions traveling in the same direction generates less friction between the portions than if the portions traveled in opposite directions. Accordingly, the provided routing method helps enable a self-locking construct that generates less friction than typical self-locking constructs, which thereby helps reduce the occurrences of weaknesses in the final self-locking construct. The reduced friction generation also helps increase an ease of use for a user when cinching the self-locking construct.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2021Publication date: November 4, 2021Inventors: Joshua P. Federspiel, Matt Sucec, Andrew Seykora, Mark Sommers

Patent number: 9495680Abstract: Identification cards at a processing server may be secured in certain embodiments by intercepting data associated with the identification card. The data may be prevented from being accessed by an application that is of a particular priority level. The data may be encrypted and provided to a server, which may provide replacement data that is formatted to be processed as a substitute for the data. This substitute data may then be provided to the application that was prevented from accessing the data.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2015Date of Patent: November 15, 2016Assignee: Shift4 CorporationInventors: John David Oder, II, John David Oder, Kevin James Cronic, Steven Mark Sommers, Dennis William Warner
