  • Patent number: 7100546
Abstract: The engine of the present invention provides the direct transfer of energy from the burning down of fuel in the engine cylinders into shaft power by forcing working liquid through guide devices and against an impulse turbine, thereby eliminating the need for supplemental pumps and the usual power losses associated therewith, thus improving the fuel consumption to power output ratio. In addition the engine of the present invention provides an internal combustion engine characterized by a crankshaftless design which meets all of the requirements for operation over the speed ranges necessary for a wide range of the propulsion systems, such as but not limited to, cars, and trucks of all sizes, rail traction, and marine propulsion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 2004
Date of Patent: September 5, 2006
Inventors: Mark Sorochkin, Eleonora Sorochkin, Alexey Sorochkin

  • Publication number: 20060041194
Abstract: The surgical gripper/retractor of the present invention provides a foldable gripping head that may be deployed in a folded position for insertion into a body cavity of a patient. Once so inserted, the displaceable head components of the foldable gripping head may be rotated to an open position so as to expose the tissue contact surfaces. The tissue contact surfaces are configured so as to be displaceable into the corresponding head component. In such a configuration, once the tissue contact surfaces are brought into abutment with the desired tissue, the tissue contact surfaces are displaced into the corresponding head component, thereby creating sufficient suction force to provide temporary adhesion to the tissue.
