  • Patent number: 9448201
Abstract: A process combustion transmitter is provided. The transmitter includes a process probe extendible into a flow of process combustion exhaust. The process probe has a measurement cell and a diffuser that define a chamber within the process probe. Electronic circuitry is coupled to the measurement cell and is configured to provide an indication relative to a combustion process based on an output signal of the measurement cell. A pressure sensor is coupled to the electronic circuitry and is fluidically coupled to the chamber. The electronic circuitry is configured to provide an adjusted calibration based on pressure measured within the chamber during a calibration.

    Assignee: Rosemount Analytical, Inc.
Inventors: James D. Kramer, Joseph C. Nemer, Anni S. Wey, Douglas E. Simmers, Mark Stojkov

  • Patent number: 5178566
Abstract: An outdrive system for watercraft includes use of plastic or other relatively flexible material, e.g., compared to metal, especially as a housing material, and techniques which enable and/or at least facilitate use of such housing material. One of those techniques employs a flexible member, such as a belt, to couple power between the input and output of an outdrive and another employs a cooling system to remove heat. The invention also relates to use in a vehicle drive, especially for watercraft, of housing materials that are not subject to corrosion, galvanic action and the like.

  • Patent number: 4926455
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for minimizing residual vibration of a radiographic system due to rapid movement of a radiographic film cassette between a park and expose position. The cassette is moved by a servo system including a servo motor which is responsive to a voltage input waveform to drive the cassette. A waveform is chosen for the voltage input such that no inpulse derivatives appear until the waveform has been diferentiated at least three times. The primary natural resonant frequency of the system is determined and noted. The duration of the selected input waveform is adjusted such that the frequency spectrum of the adjusted input waveform defines a relative null which approximately coincides with the primary resonant frequency. The amplitude of the voltage input waveform is then further adjusted as a function of the distance to be traveled by the cassette between the park and expose positions.
