The methods and systems may comprise use of cavity based optical traps. A device for forming an optical trap may comprise a first optical cavity, said first optical cavity configured to form a first standing wave pattern, wherein said first standing wave pattern is one or two dimensional; a second optical cavity, said second optical cavity configured to form a second standing wave pattern; and a chamber configured to hold one or more atoms disposed within a three-dimensional trapping potential formed by at least said first standing wave pattern and said second standing wave pattern.

At least one atom of the plurality of atoms may have a different state than one or more other atoms of the plurality of atoms. The at least one atom may be excited to an excited state. The exciting may be performed using a non-site selective excitation beam over the plurality of atoms that only interacts with the at least one atom.

Abstract: Article mounting apparatus is provided for mounting an article such as a plant container to a support such as a lamp post. The apparatus includes a first bracket for mounting to a support, and a second bracket associated with the article. The first and second brackets are arranged to be mountable together to an engaged position by mutual relative movement in a first direction, and movable from the engaged position to a locked position by mutual relative movement in a second direction, the second direction being different to the first direction. The first and second brackets are arranged so that in the locked position, mutually relative movement of the brackets in a direction substantially opposite to the first direction is substantially prevented.

Abstract: The invention relates to a dental chair side wastewater collection system for dental-unit wastewater for sample analysis or collection and management of dental-unit wastewater hazardous materials. The system is small enough to be installed chair side to permit collection of an entire days wastewater or wastewater from a single patient for immediate disposal or for sample collection. Collected wastewater can then be easily emptied and stored elsewhere until disposed.

Abstract: A hydraulic log splitter attachment for a skid steer loader includes a mounting framework attached to a vertical elongate beam. A piston/cylinder combination with a rod for movement between retracted and downwardly extended configurations mounts to the beam. A wedge attaches to a lower end of the rod. A base plate attaches to the beam adjacent the lower end; storage wall assemblies and stabilizing plates optionally attach to the base plate. Hoses connect the piston/cylinder combination to the loader's hydraulic system. Wedge guides slidably attach the wedge to the beam. The wedge guides optionally include wedge guide rollers; the wedge optionally includes wedge rollers. The loader secures to the mounting framework. Wood is placed on the base plate while the rod is in the retracted configuration. The rod moves to the downwardly extended configuration, thus splitting the wood with the wedge. The storage wall assemblies provide split wood storage.

Abstract: An inline filter assembly to be used in conjunction with surgical or other procedures, near the patient or chairside in dental operations, that is capable of removing, by filtration, particulate matter from waste-water. The filter assembly is configured to permit easy and rapid changing of filters. The filter assembly also contains a series of stopcocks to permit easy and quick changing of filters while maintaining suction to the patient.

Abstract: A microphone mask to be worn in front of the mouth of an underwater diver has a microphone assembly and a teethpiece assembly mounted in a rubber waterproof enclosure. The enclosure has an air passage extending from an inlet opening to a rear outlet opening. The teethpiece assembly includes a plastic insert with a vertical plate mounted in the enclosure. The vertical plate has openings for the air passage as well as to allow sound to travel from the diver's mouth to the microphone assembly. A teeth member extends rearwardly out of the outlet opening into the diver's mouth where it is held between the diver's teeth. The teeth member is connected to the insert by resilient spring members which draw the enclosure rearwardly against the diver's face. There is a sealing surface around the outlet opening, and this seals it around the outside of the diver's mouth. This eliminates the need for a headband and facilitates the use of the microphone mask for the combination of breathing and speaking.
