  • Patent number: 8930525
Abstract: A method for measuring business transaction performance, includes the steps of, at a top-level component, assigning a correlation tag and original time stamp to a server request, passing the original time stamp with any server requests from the top-level component to one or more subsequent components, and computing an aggregate latency over a predetermined interval at the top-level component and at each subsequent component based on the original time stamp.

  • Publication number: 20080127178
Abstract: The present invention provides for managing applications associated with an installation. In an embodiment, instructions are received that enable an installation management system to determine how to manage an application associated with the installation. The instructions conform to an application modeling language that specifies a definition that can be used to write instructions for more than one application without requiring knowledge of the installation management system. The instructions are analyzed to enable the installation management system to determine how to manage the application.

  • Patent number: 5675785
Abstract: A database warehouse includes a database having data arranged in data tables, e.g., fact tables and reference tables. A warehouse database hub interface is connected to the database. The warehouse database hub interface presents to a user a schema of the data in the database warehouse. The schema consists of virtual tables. Arrangement of the data in the virtual tables is different than arrangement of data in the fact tables and the reference tables. A user generates queries based on the schema provided by the warehouse database hub interface. In response to a such a query for particular information stored in the database warehouse, the warehouse database hub interface modifies the query to take into account pre-computed values and the arrangement of the data within the database warehouse. Then the warehouse database hub interface queries the database warehouse using the modified query to obtain the particular information from the database warehouse.
