  • Patent number: 11513358
Abstract: Compact and low mass augmented and fully virtual head mounted display designs are disclosed. The disclosed displays employ a display located between the eye and the main optical element of the head mounted display. These designs additionally afford the ability to support augmented reality displays because the user can see both the virtual image from the display and the real world if desired. The designs use semi-transparent displays where either the display emits circularly polarized light or the displays which emits light from one surface or the view of the display directly from the eye is obscured.

  • Patent number: 9628783
Abstract: A virtual reality hardware and software platform comprised of a stereoscope which attaches to a mobile touchscreen computer/tablet. The stereoscope, in which the user looks through, covers just the top portion of the tablet screen. This top portion displays the stereoscopic view of a virtual environment. The bottom portion displays the two-dimensional view. The user touches the view with his/her thumbs and/or fingers in order to interact with and travel through the virtual environment seen in the view.

  • Patent number: 9140973
Abstract: A rear projection imaging system with an image warping distortion correction system using a camera and processing unit to generate a warping map that corrects for image distortion. The warping map is generated in an iterative process by displaying a known pattern on a viewing screen and, through the use of a camera, having a microprocessor determine the location and shape of the pattern on the screen. The microprocessor then compares the displayed image to the original reference image, calculates the distortion effects present in the projection optics, and generates a warping map.

  • Patent number: 9100643
Abstract: The multi-person stereo display system permits several independent viewers to see different stereo images on a single projection surface. This is accomplished through the innovative use of video multiplexing, software, control electronics, and special viewing glasses. The system is particularly useful in situations where the viewers see computer generated images from their own independent perspectives.
