  • Publication number: 20250003444
Abstract: Disclosed is a combination screw and rivet fastener that couples a cover plate to a ratchet head. The fastener is inserted into the ratchet head and then screwed into a hole of the cover plate. Thereafter, the tip of the fastener opposite the fastener head is deformed in a rivet operation.

  • Publication number: 20240242178
Abstract: An inventory control system for managing and transporting a subset of tools from a plurality of storage containers. Each of the plurality of storage containers can comprise a plurality of storage locations. Each storage location can store objects, wherein the objects can rest in a tray. Each storage location can comprise at least one image sensing device configured to capture image data of the plurality of storage locations. Each storage location can comprise a data processor configured to receive information representing captured images of the storage locations and data representing the usage or status of the objects associated with the images. The system can further comprise a portable container comprising a plurality of supplemental locations for storing the objects containers. The portable container can be configured to communicate with the plurality of storage locations and configured to reconcile objects shared between the portable container and the plurality of storage containers.

  • Publication number: 20220024002
Abstract: A striking wrench comprising a socket with a working side designed to cooperate with a fastener and an impact side disposed on an opposite end of the working side, a handle comprising an attachment end designed to cooperate with the socket via an interference fit to form a rigid connection, and an anvil disposed at an end of the handle opposite the attachment end. The striking wrench may also include a secondary retention element designed to further secure the rigid connection, which can be a retaining ring, a pin and tunnel, or a threaded fastener.

  • Patent number: 8720239
Abstract: An improved method of rotating the lockrod of a tool storage unit to the “locked” or “unlocked” position by use of a linear actuator to rotate the lockrod actuator, where the linear actuator operates electrically, allowing for control by any remotely or automatically operated system. The tool storage unit locking mechanisms include a center-neutral key position that rotates 90 degrees in either direction from center to lock and unlock the unit. This design allows a standard key to operate the locking mechanism, but also allows a secondary mechanism (such as an electromagnetically driven mechanism) to directly operate the lock. Due to its specifics, the design would also allow for retrofitability.
