Publication number: 20240167283Abstract: A splash block can include a base surface and a raised sidewall surrounding the base surface except for an outlet side of the base surface. The raised sidewall defines an inlet sidewall located opposite the outlet side of the base and a pair of longitudinal sidewalls spanning from the inlet sidewall towards the outlet side of the base. A tab is provided to the inlet sidewall. The tab is attached to the inlet sidewall such that the tab can pivot between a first position extending horizontally outwardly away from the base surface and a second position folded under the splash block such that the tab does not protrude outwardly from the raised sidewall. A first aperture can be defined in the tab to receive an anchor spike. A second aperture can be defined in the base surface adjacent to the outlet side in order to receive an anchor spike.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2022Publication date: May 23, 2024Inventors: Nicholas Demuth, II, Nicholas J. Demuth, Mark T. Reum, Brian M. Kimble

Publication number: 20230148009Abstract: One or more hidden clips can be efficiently fastened and mounted to decking planks, e.g., with a tool or manually. A plurality of hidden clips can be included with a strip of clips and separated by a frangible section or tab located between adjacent clips. Each hidden clip can include a leading edge and a trailing edge opposite the leading edge. The leading edge can be beveled or tapered across an entirety thereof. At least one connecting tab spans between a respective leading edge and trailing edge of adjacent decking clips in the clip strip. Each of the decking clips can include an aperture configured to receive a fastener. A fastener can be disposed in the aperture in each clip such that each fastener extends partially above a top surface of the decking clip.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2023Publication date: May 11, 2023Inventors: Nicholas J. DEMUTH, Mark T. REUM

Patent number: 10920432Abstract: A universal magazine mounts to a hand-operated power tool that will automatically feed a hidden deck board clip to the tool head from a strip of such clips and position the clips one at a time under the power tool's driving mechanism. The strip includes multiple hidden clips separated by a frangible section or tab located between adjacent clips. Each hidden clip can be formed of a plastic material and include a locating tab defined on each side of the clip's body and fastener aperture defined in a center of the body. Further, strips can be adapted for manual use and manipulation rather than for use with a power tool.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2018Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: MN Fastener LLCInventors: Nicholas J.
