  • Publication number: 20260245222
Abstract: An image processing system processes images received from an imaging device mounted at a head of a personal care device. The personal care device has personal care elements which can move relative to the imaging device while they implement their personal care function. Images are received over time of a user from the imaging device. The images are segmented and a three dimensional data is generated based on the time evolution of a shape of the segmentations. The 3D volume enables current motion characteristics of the personal care elements and/or future motion characteristics of the personal care elements to be determined.

  • Patent number: 12708499
Abstract: A wear-out assessment for an oral care system (14) (e.g. an oral cleaning device) is disclosed. A sensor unit (16) of the oral care system is adapted to provide a sensor signal related to a cleaning efficacy of a cleaning function of the oral care system when generated when the oral care system is inside a user's mouth. The sensor unit (16) may be, or may be coupled to, a component which is used during execution of an oral care function of the device, for example a sensor for detecting cleaning progress in the mouth, or a component which drives a cleaning or treatment action in the mouth. In accordance with the invention, the sensor signal (20) generated when the oral care system is outside the mouth is used for performing a wear-out assessment. As relevant components used by the oral care system (14) for the oral care function wear, characteristics of the sensor signal (20) may change in a predictable way, which can be used to identify when a wear-out state has been reached.

  • Patent number: 12683017
Abstract: A computer-implemented system assists resolution of service cases for medical imaging devices by retrieving device and case data, estimating likelihoods and timeframes for multiple resolution pathways, and presenting results in a user interface. Input may include images of device error messages captured by a camera; optical character recognition extracts text, and language detection and translation normalize messages for analysis. Models leverage historical repair data, technician profiles, and part replacement indicators to score pathways and forecast durations. A cost metric can combine likelihood and timeframe with service and scheduling costs to recommend actions and trigger service calls. The approach reduces downtime and improves dispatch and repair efficiency across customer and provider personnel.

  • Publication number: 20260165460
Abstract: Proposed are schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods and systems pertaining to aiding and/or improving image acquisition of a portion of a surface of the subject by a handheld device having a plurality of end-effectors for engagement with a portion of the surface of a subject. Specifically, deformation of said end-effectors under a load may cause some of the end-effectors to encroach on a field of view of image capture of the surface of the user. It has therefore been realized that a determined loading state of the end-effectors during capture of an image may be leveraged to determine a quality of the image. Thus, transfer of the image is selectively controlled based on the image quality. In this way, an overall data transfer rate may be reduced by omitting transmission of poor quality (i.e., highly obscured) images.

  • Publication number: 20260165640
Abstract: The invention provides an oral care device having integrated means for detecting a level of tooth mobility. A sensor means is included which outputs a sensing signal indicative of force or pressure applied to, or motion of, cleaning elements of the device during a cleaning session. By processing a waveform of this signal to detect one or more signal characteristics, a measure indicative of a level or degree of tooth mobility can be derived.

  • Patent number: 12648838
Abstract: The present invention relates to oral care. In order to improve the effectiveness of a flossing device, an interdental space detection component is proposed for detecting an interdental space. The interdental space detection component may be integrated in a brush head with integrated flossing function. The fluidic flossing function may selectively be switched on at the interdental space, thereby saving flossing fluid and preventing ineffective flossing outside the interdental space.

  • Patent number: 12649067
Abstract: An oral care device has a field generator adapted to generate an electric field in a mouth of a user, responsive to an input control signal. The electric field is for imparting a force upon particles forming a biofilm to be removed by the oral care device or upon cleaning agent particles. A cyclic control signal is generated for intermittent generation of an electric field at a first RF frequency. The use of an intermittent generation of an RF electric field means the force applied to particles (in particular polarized particles) by the field is itself cyclic. The cyclic nature of this applied force is found to be more effective in the disintegration of a biofilm to be removed, and hence makes subsequent mechanical removal, e.g. by brushing, easier.

  • Publication number: 20260144614
Abstract: The invention provides a computer implemented method for use in providing guidance in respect of an orthodontic treatment. The orthodontic treatment involves the use of an orthodontic device to move a subject's teeth. The method comprises receiving status information indicating usage of a first orthodontic device and receiving subject discomfort information indicating subject discomfort. The method further comprises determining a stimulus event corresponding to a change in use of the first orthodontic device (for example, inserting or removing the first orthodontic device). Stimulus discomfort information (subject discomfort information corresponding to the stimulus event) is determined and, using the stimulus discomfort information, an orthodontic treatment metric is generated and output.
