  • Patent number: 8832322
Abstract: A dongle adapter system is described that is configured to communicate in a first direction using a first communications protocol and to communicate in a second direction using a second communications protocol. Communications in the first direction employ a conventional communications protocol, such as the Universal Serial Bus (“USB”) protocol. Communications in the second direction employs an Auxiliary Interface Bus (“AIB”) protocol; in some embodiments, the employed AIB protocol may be proprietary. A translator associated with the dongle adapter translates communications between the first communications protocol and the second communications protocol. The dongle adapter allows a peripheral device organiclly configured for the second communications protocol to function without modification in computing networks whose communications operate on the first communications protocol.

  • Patent number: 6104429
Abstract: A tracking system (200) adapted to receive input imagery and provide standard television format video input signals in response thereto. The video input signals are processed (228) to provide intermediate analog and digital signals. The intermediate analog signals are further processed (239) to provide centroid tracking of a target. The intermediate digital signals are processed (236) to provide correlation tracking of the target. In a specific implementation, the standard television format video input signals are provided by a charge coupled device (214), a Vidicon camera, an infrared focal plane array, a Newvicon camera or other device which generates standard television format video signals. A video rotation circuit may be used to provide proper image orientation regardless of the mounting orientation of the system.

  • Patent number: 6080307
Abstract: A storm-drain insert has separate collection systems for trash and oil or other hydrocarbons. A tilted grate separates trash from oily inlet water and directs the trash to a separate basket, and the water flows through a corrugated, flexible canister containing a hydrophobic, compliant, oil-absorbent, copolymer material arranged in a number of bodies having high surface area. Preferably, the material is formed with a binder in a novel extrusion process. The inserts can be suspended in a storm drain adjacent to a curb inlet.
