Patent number: 11117633Abstract: This adjustment mechanism/assembly for a backrest/headrest includes a series of parts connected by a threaded rod with a knob on each end. The parts are arranged such that they sandwich two support members so that when the knobs are loosened the unit can easily slide up and down, changing the elevation of the backrest/headrest pad unit with respect to a seat bottom or seat back. Further, when the knobs are loose the upper member and its attached pad can be pivoted fore and aft and slide back and forth. Tightening the two knobs locks the entire unit in place.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2014Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Inventors: Mark Todd, Kevin Christensen

Publication number: 20190364126Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and system for identifying and altering objectionable media content adapted to identify and alter objectionable data in both incoming and outgoing media content, as well as media content queued for storage in computer-readable memory. The method may be downloaded on a communication device that receives or sends out media content. A proxy, or third party scanning service, provides a recognition software that searches data in the media content to identifying objectionable images, text, video, audio, and voice data. Once the objectionable data is identified, the recognition software alters the identified objectionable data to cover, replace, or delete objectionable images, text, audio, and voice data. The objectionable portion of the data is partially determined by objectionable parameter filters and media transmission filters selected by a user.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 25, 2018Publication date: November 28, 2019Inventor: Mark Todd

Patent number: 9785418Abstract: A system and computer program product for developing software in which the software comprises a plurality of programs. A change to a program is received. A data structure checking procedure may then be invoked. The changed program is parsed for a reference to a data structure. Other instances of the data structure are located in other programs within the software. The referenced data structure is compared to the located other instances of the data structure. A predefined action (such as notifying a programmer or correcting the inconsistencies) is performed in response to any detected differences between the referenced data structure and the located other instances of the data structure. These steps are repeated for all data structures within the changed program.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2011Date of Patent: October 10, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Stephen J. Burghard, Mark Todd, Philip R. Lee, Andrew Wright

Publication number: 20170079440Abstract: A seat incorporating insert(s) intermediate its upper and lower surfaces. A seat insert for the support of the users buttocks conforms to the user's body, has “rebound” properties, and areas adapted to underlie the perineum and/or ischiums of a user softer than the rest of the seat insert. Alternatively, a perineal insert and/or ischium inserts may be used without the seat insert described. Finally, a heatable insert can be used in conjunction with or in the absence of said seat inserts to provide heat for the comfort of a seat user. In all cases, the aforesaid inserts are preferably completely encapsulated and enclosed by the foam materials making up the seat, which can be accomplished by molding the seat around the insert(s), creating a seat with various internal density zones, adjustable heat, and enhanced abilities to conform to the user's body, while limiting pressure on perineum and/or ischiums.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2015Publication date: March 23, 2017Inventor: Mark Todd

Patent number: 9177734Abstract: The instant invention teaches a protective cover for an electrical switch forming part of an electrical circuit having three key components: a fastening flange adapted to be secured to a cover plate for the switch, a shield portion connected to the fastening flange which serves to help block accidental contact, activation and/or access to the electrical switch, but does not totally prevent intentional movement of the switch by a user (especially via a hand-held tool), and a snap off tab or tabs forming part of the shield portion, with the snap off tab or tabs being adapted to be snapped off and removed to allow freer access to and movement of the electrical switch by a user while still providing significant protection against accidental contact and activation.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2012Date of Patent: November 3, 2015Inventor: Mark Todd

Publication number: 20150210037Abstract: A liner includes an abrasion layer comprised of a water impermeable film, a cushioning foam intermediate layer, and an absorbent layer comprised of an absorbent fabric. The abrasion layer may be a PVC film of approximately 1 mm to 0.1 mm in thickness. The cushioning foam intermediate layer may be comprised of a PVC, 1 mm to 4 mm in thickness. The absorbent layer may be comprised of felt and may be cure bonded to the second surface of the cushioning foam intermediate layer. A cutting guide tool with an alignment head and at least one blade guide runner is also provided. Each blade guide runner has a blade channel extending along the length of the blade guide runner and may display measurement indicia to facilitate precise cutting.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2014Publication date: July 30, 2015Inventor: Mark Todd

Publication number: 20140084663Abstract: The instant invention teaches a seat incorporating an insert or inserts intermediate its upper and lower surfaces. A seat insert adapted for the support of the users buttocks and/or upper thighs conforms to the contours of the user's body over a period of time, has certain “rebound” properties, and features an area adapted to underlie the perineum of a user seated on the seat, which area is softer than the rest of the seat insert either by virtue of an included gap in the seat insert or by virtue of a softer material filling said gap. Alternatively, a perineal insert of softer material may be used without the seat insert described. In either case, the aforesaid inserts are preferably completely encapsulated and enclosed by the foam materials making up the seat, which can be accomplished by molding the seat around the insert(s).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2012Publication date: March 27, 2014Inventor: Mark TODD
