  • Patent number: 5555258
Abstract: A wireless telephone subsystem for coupling line type telephony equipment to the public switched telephone network is described. A base unit is provided which is adapted to be coupled to a plurality of lines of the PSTN. The base unit includes a base coder/decoder which transforms analog signals received from the lines of the PSTN to digital signals and conversely transforms digital signals to analog signals for coupling to the lines of the PSTN. The base unit includes a multiple channel transceiver coupled to the base coder/decoder which responds to the digital signals provided by the base coder/decoder for transmitting those signals by placing selected portions of the digital signals into selected portions of a multiplex frame. The base multiple channel transceiver also receives digital signals and couples those digital signals to the base coder/decoder. Programmable switching means is provided to associate selected of the PSTN lines and selected portions of the multiplex frame.

  • Patent number: 5552207
Abstract: An open grid fabric for reinforcing wall systems and a method of making same. First and second sets of substantially parallel, selected rovings are combined using certain knits, leno weaves, or adhesive methods. The rovings are direct-sized with at least a silane sizing and preferably have a linear density between 100 and 2000 grams per thousand meters and are arranged at an average of 3 to 10 ends per inch. A polymeric coating is applied to the fabric at a level of 10 to 150 parts dry weight of resin to 100 parts by weight of the fabric while assuring that the open grid remains open. A method for reinforcing a wall system and a wall segment product utilizing the novel open grid fabric of the present invention are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5063848
Abstract: An igniter bag for a cannon cartridge is disclosed which comprises a generally toroidal annular bag of combustible fabric such as cotton or rayon containing an ignition powder. The bag has a plurality of radial seams separating the bag and the powder contained therein into separate adjacent compartments within the bag so that movement of the powder within the bag is substantially restricted. This construction prevents side to side shifting of the ignition powder during storage, handling and loading of the cartridge.
