  • Patent number: 7976749
Abstract: An injection moulding process for making a completely recyclable, multilayered article which contains: i) a rigid layer formed of a thermoplastic polymer and ii) a foamed skin layer formed of a thermoplastic polymer compatible with the material of the rigid layer, by injection moulding of the rigid layer into a mould composed of two sides, lifting one side of the mould, or change one side of the mould to obtain a small gap of between 3 to 4 mm between the rigid layer and the side of the mould lifted or changed and injecting the foamed skin layer into the gap formed in step b).

  • Publication number: 20100324189
Abstract: The invention relates to a system (1) comprising at least one extruded or injection-molded molding (5) composed of a molding composition comprising a polymer material, where the molding composition comprises at least one filler for reinforcement. The proportion of the filler for reinforcement in the molding composition is in the range from 20 to 80% by weight. The invention further relates to a process for the production of a system (1), where the molding composition comprising the at least one filler for reinforcement is molded through an extrusion process to give the molding (5). The invention further relates to a use of the system (1).

  • Publication number: 20100009213
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of a component, comprising an insert part (1) sheathed by a plastics layer, by, in a first step, sheathing of at least one part of the insert part (1) with a plastics molding composition (2) with low viscosity and, in a second step, using a hard plastics component (3) for overmolding of the insert part with the sheathing, or by sheathing of the insert part (1) with a hard plastics component (3), regions of the insert part (1) here not being sheathed, and overmolding of the non-sheathed regions with a plastics molding composition (2) with low viscosity. The invention further relates to a component comprising an insert part and comprising plastics sheathing which is composed of at least two plastics components, where the first plastics component, which at least to some extent directly sheathes the insert part (1), is a plastics molding composition (2) with low viscosity, and the second plastics component is a hard plastics component (3).
