Abstract: A folding chest bed system includes a chest assembly, including a base supported by a plurality of legs, two opposing side panels spaced apart by a distance and secured to the base, and a front panel assembly connected to the base by one or more primary hinges, movable between an upright closed position and an opened position to be at least partially supportive of a mattress. The front panel assembly includes a top folding leg rotatably connected to the front panel assembly that extends from and is supportive of the front panel assembly when the front panel assembly is in the opened position. The plurality of legs extend vertically below the opposing side panels, and a lower side panel separate and distinct from the opposing side panels is positioned between opposing legs of the plurality of legs vertically below the opposing side panels.
