Patent number: 11833323Abstract: A grasp-activated power switch is integrated within a handle for a hand-held power tool. The switch has an outer shell defining an inner channel with a first and second pin extending therein. The tool body has a first and second conductor. A motor within the tool body is electrically connected to one of the first or second conductors and to an internal battery. The internal battery is connected to the other of the first or second conductors. On its surface the outer shell has actuating and non-actuating areas. A manual grasping force when applied to the actuating area connects the first and second pins with the first and second conductors to complete an electrical circuit. The closure energizes the tool motor. With each grasp, the switch toggles power to the motor off or on, and when on, the motor transmits power through the inner channel.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2023Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Inventor: Mark Vincent Grassano

Patent number: 11783002Abstract: Intelligent dynamic preloading is described. A list of page requests is generated using a prediction model that predicts a plurality of page requests for a site or web application that are expected to be received from client devices, where at least some of the page requests include URLs and one or more other parameters that affect generation of a corresponding page. A request is simulated for each of the page requests included on the list of page requests to a caching layer to cause the caching layer to: make a request to an origin server for the site or dynamic web application, receive rendered pages from the origin server, and store the received rendered pages, such that subsequent requests received at the caching layer can be served from the already rendered pages.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2021Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: Edgio, Inc.Inventors: Mark Vincent Brocato, Ivan Erceg, Kaarel Kelk, Ishan Anand

Patent number: 11763809Abstract: A speech-processing system may provide access to multiple virtual assistants via one or more voice-controlled devices. Each assistant may leverage language processing and language generation features of the speech-processing system, while handling different commands and/or providing access to different back applications. Each assistant may be associated with its own voice and/or speech style, and thus be perceived as having a particular “personality.” In some situations, a user may invoke a first assistant, e.g., with a wakeword or button press, and provide a command that the speech-processing system may determine will be better handled by a second assistant. The speech-processing system may thus call on a component to generate plan data describing one or more operations for the speech-processing system to execute to handoff the command to the second assistant and provide the user with indications of which assistant will handle the command.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2020Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Naveen Bobbili, David Henry, Mark Vincent Mattione, Richard Du, Jyoti Chhabra

Patent number: 11752404Abstract: A golf club head and golf club having a lightweight non-metallic face insert bonded in an insert opening, large head dimensions, and large face characteristics, as well as unique mass property attributes driven by relationships not often considered in conventional club head design, to achieve a resistance to squaring the club head during a golf swing that is comfortable to the novice golfer, stability during off-center impacts, and preferred launch characteristics. This is achieved in part via establishing a club head configuration and associated center of gravity location that results in a preferred magnitude of Delta1 and Delta2 values, CG angle, moments of inertia, and associated ratios, relationships, and club head mass property characteristics influenced by these variables to achieve improved performance.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2021Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: TAYLOR MADE GOLF COMPANY, INC.Inventors: Mark Vincent Greaney, John Francis Lorentzen, Matthew Greensmith, Craig Richard Slyfield
