    Abstract: A method of making a UHMWPE body combined with a bolt, a cap screw, a reinforcing member uses a compression molding machine equipped with a male and female mold set. Particulate UHMWPE dispensed into the cavity of the female mold surrounds the head of the bolt and screw and reinforcing member. Pressure and heat applied to the particulate UHMWPE molecularly bonds the UHMWPE to the bolt, screw, and reinforcing member.

    Abstract: An agricultural crop combine has a header with skid plates and low friction plastic skid shoes mounted on the skid plates. Each skid shoe has a thickness that progressively and uniformly increases from the front end to the rear end of the shoe. The skid plates are made with a sinter molding process that subjects powder plastic in a mold to heat and pressure to cause the plastic to become a coherent mass comprising the complete skid shoe.

    Abstract: Row crop cultivator rolling shields mounted on an arm pivotally connected to a support extended rearwardly from a tool bar prevents soil moved by earth working tools from covering and damaging row crops. Each shield has a dish shaped body having a number of arcuate segments. Each segment has angularly disposed parts providing the body with a circumferential wave-like structure. A roller bearing secured to the central porion of the body mounts the shield on an axle mounted on the arm.
