    Abstract: A system and method for a terrain awareness warning system. The system includes a radar system configured to transmit a first radio frequency wave and receive a second radio frequency wave, a display for receiving a display signal representative of an obstacle source and an obstacle source data circuit. The obstacle source data circuit includes an interface and a display circuit. The interface is coupled to the radar system and the display. The display circuit is configured to determine the obstacle source based on the second radio frequency wave and to transmit the display signal representative of the obstacle source.
