Publication number: 20230051482Abstract: A battery rotation system for rechargeable batteries. The system includes a plurality of battery monitors each configured to mount to a rechargeable battery, each connected to the terminals of the battery, and each including a current sensor, a voltage sensor, and a temperature sensor. The system further includes a server in wireless communication with the battery monitors to receive battery status information from the monitors. When a battery is connect to a battery charger, the battery monitor determines when the battery is ready for use. The server maintains queue information of available batteries and sends that information to a remote user device. The server also can schedule battery replacements and schedule charging times based on peak hours.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2021Publication date: February 16, 2023Inventor: Mark W. Herrema

Publication number: 20110128154Abstract: A battery electrolyte monitor including a probe and a control circuit. The control circuit includes a capacitive element within the probe. The probe is acid resistant, and therefore the probe protects the capacitive element from contact with the battery electrolyte. The control circuit periodically charges and discharges the capacitive element using direct current. Depending on at least one of a charging characteristic and a discharging characteristic, the control circuit determines the electrolyte level. If the electrolyte is below a desired minimum level, the control circuit illuminates an indicator light.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2009Publication date: June 2, 2011Applicant: FLOW-RITE CONTROLS, LTD.Inventors: Mark W.
