  • Publication number: 20130254020
Abstract: The present disclosure includes a system and method for push based advertisement insertion. In an example of push based advertisement insertion according to the present disclosure, content (102) to place in a publication is received, a target revenue value for a sale of a number of advertisements in the publication is received; and a layout (116) for the content (102) and for a number of advertisement slots (118) is created, wherein a layout quality is generated based on at least one of a number of templates (460), a number of template parameters (462), and a number of content allocations (464) of the layout, and wherein the layout quality is above a predetermined threshold layout quality based on the target revenue.

  • Patent number: 7554730
Abstract: A woven projection screen includes a viewing portion having a front side facing toward a viewing zone. The viewing portion includes a plurality of first filaments having asymmetric geometries in cross-section and having reflective surfaces for primarily reflecting an image signal light and a plurality of second filaments. The plurality of first filaments are interwoven with the plurality of second filaments, such that, the plurality of second filaments are configured to support the plurality of first filaments in a manner that causes the reflective surfaces to be positioned to redirect the image signal light into a range of angles toward the viewing zone.

  • Patent number: 7068858
Abstract: Determining that a plurality of spatial light modulator (SLM) pixels includes one or more first regions of SLM pixels that satisfy an acceptable defective SLM pixel policy, and one or more second regions of SLM pixels that fail the policy, is disclosed. Utilizing the first regions of SLM pixels within a projection system that has a first resolution that is less than a second resolution that would have been provided by utilizing both the first regions of SLM pixels and the second regions of SLM pixels is also disclosed.
