  • Publication number: 20210199114
Abstract: A compressor has an inlet port and a discharge port. The discharge port communicates into a resonator chamber. The resonator chamber includes a first stage resonator array and a second stage resonator array downstream of the first stage resonator array with a connecting passage intermediate the first and second resonator array. Each of the resonator arrays includes a pair of spaced resonator arrays sub-portions, with each of the sub-portions including a plurality of cells extending into a housing member, and have a bottom wall and an open outer wall communicating with the flow passage, with a plurality of orifices extending into each of the cells. The orifices have a smaller diameter than a hydraulic diameter of the cells.

  • Publication number: 20210071944
Abstract: A variable fluid dispenser for a refrigerator utilizes a variable control suitable for varying the rate of fluid dispensing by the dispenser. In some instances, the variable control may include a rotary control actuator that varies the fluid dispensing rate of the variable dispenser, and in some instances, the variable control may include a variable control actuator movable between a range of positions that includes a home position at which the variable dispenser is deactivated. In such instances, movement of the variable control actuator away from the home position both activates the variable dispenser to dispense fluid and increases the fluid dispensing rate of the variable dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20200340729
Abstract: A refrigerator and method utilize a pair of tandem evaporators to provide cooling for both a compartment and an ice making system of a refrigerator. An upstream evaporator in the pair of tandem evaporators provides cooling for a compartment such as a freezer, fresh food, flexible cooling, or quick cooling compartment, while a downstream evaporator is in fluid communication with the upstream evaporator to receive a portion of the air cooled by the upstream evaporator and further cool the received portion for use in cooling one or more components of the ice making system.

  • Patent number: 10718526
Abstract: An illumination system for a cooking appliance is capable of illuminating generally downwardly onto the cooktop burners of the cooking appliance using multiple illumination schemes. One illumination scheme may be used to indicate which cooktop burner is controlled by a particular burner control that a user is interacting with prior to activation of the cooktop burner, e.g., to indicate to a user that a burner control that the user has touched or is otherwise proximate to controls a particular cooktop burner. Another illumination scheme may be used to indicate which cooktop burner is being adjusted when a user is adjusting a particular burner control, e.g., to indicate to a user that a burner control that the user is currently manipulating is changing the output of a particular cooktop burner.
