Publication number: 20120077651Abstract: An abdominal exercise device comprising a seat back pivotally attached to a base that includes a foot plate, wherein a spring or other resistive element is attached between the seat back and the base, which is capable of simultaneously exercising a plurality of muscle groups while standing, in a hands-free manner. While the user is standing on the foot plate, abdominal and other muscles are exercised when the user presses in a backward direction against the seat back, and then releases the pressure on the seat back such that the seat back returns to an upright or near upright position. The exercise device includes the capability of tension adjustment on the seat back, such that more or less force can be applied to cause the seat back to move in a backward direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2011Publication date: March 29, 2012Inventor: Mark Wallach

Patent number: 5194707Abstract: An inertia switch for sensing shock or vibrations imparted to an object to which said switch is secured. The switch comprises a pair of spaced-apart, electrically-conductive contact plates. Each plate has at least one cavity therein. The plates are held in fixed, spaced, parallel relationship to one another with the cavities facing and aligned with each other to constitute at least one opposed pair of cavities. A metal ball is loosely captive between the at least one opposed pair of cavities so that the ball, when in a condition of rest, establishes four conductive contact points, two with each of the plates.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 1991Date of Patent: March 16, 1993Assignee: Wallach Manufacturing Ltd.Inventor: Mark Wallach

Patent number: 4992009Abstract: A sheet metal drill bit for drilling burrless round holes in thin products. The drill bit is formed by a solid drill body having a drill head and a connecting shaft. The drill head has two diagonally opposed outer cutting edges in a front face thereof each defining a flute geometry. A stabilizing central drill bit extends from the front face and beyond the outer cutting edge. The cutting edge has an elevated leading edge portion and a downward sloping trailing portion. A concave well is defined between the outer cutting edge and the central drill bit. The trailing portion tapers to at least the front face from which the central drill bit extends and to an angulated web portion. The concave well retains undrilled product pieces about the central drill bit whereas the web portion permits evacuation of loose drilled material.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1988Date of Patent: February 12, 1991Assignee: Canadian Flexi DrillsInventor: Mark Wallach

Patent number: 4138205Abstract: A tubing replaceable, peristaltic pump includes a base plate and a rotor mounted on the base plate and having peripherally spaced thrust rollers. Pivotally mounted on the base plate on opposite sides of the rotor are a pair of stator members which are swingable about proximate laterally spaced ends thereof between closed and open positions with their inner concave cylindrical faces confronting the rotor being respectively proximate and coaxial with the rotor and remote from the rotor. Hand operated devices are located at the free ends of the stator members and swing the stator members between locked closed positions and open positions. A flexible collapsible tube is entrapped between the rotor and closed stator members and is replaceable when the stator members are in opened position, the tube extending radially outwardly between the stator member laterally spaced front ends. If desired the stator members are reciprocatable towards and away from the rotor.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1975Date of Patent: February 6, 1979Assignee: Hydro Pulse CorporationInventor: Mark Wallach

Patent number: 4024866Abstract: Defective or unwanted tissue is removed such as from the lens of an eye by directing a pulsating high velocity liquid jet onto the defecting tissue to disintegrate the tissue and sucking the liquid entraining the disintegrated tissue from the area adjacent the tissue by a suction conduit. A control system is provided to insure the proper amount of suction. The control system also monitors the suction conduit and in response to a sudden change in pressure resulting from a clogging condition, the sucking action is reversed causing pressure to be forced through the conduit. Salt crystals can be added into the liquid stream of the pulsating liquid to improve the cutting action.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 1975Date of Patent: May 24, 1977Assignee: Hydro Pulse CorporationInventor: Mark Wallach

Patent number: 3949746Abstract: A hypodermic syringe apparatus includes a contact member having an apertured front plate and a hydraulic cylinder reciprocated mounting plate supports a group of hypodermic needles in slidable registry with the front plate openings, which pierce a liquid absorbent web backing the front plate. Each needle is connected by a flexible tube to an adjustable stroke piston pump where inlets are connected to liquid injectable holding receptacles. The pistons are simultaneously actuated by a motor driven drive cam carrying shaft, the motor being controlled by a handle carried switch to rotate the shaft one turn. The shaft carrying cam also controls the flow of liquid to the handle cylinder, and the absorbent pad is connected to a source of antiseptic. A marking pad is carried by the handle front wall to identify the puncture area. Another form of handle includes a flexible band separably encircling the operator's hand for specialized field use.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 1974Date of Patent: April 13, 1976Assignee: Animal Systems, Inc.Inventor: Mark Wallach
