  • Patent number: 8073973
Abstract: There is described a method of processing data packets in a data stream in a communication system. In the method, a plurality of data packets from the data stream are analyzed in order to generate profile data which indicates how one or more parts of each of the plurality of data packets varies from data packet to data packet. The profile data is then made available so that a data packet compression scheme that accords with the profile data can be implemented on data packets in the communication system.

  • Publication number: 20080029685
Abstract: Complex, three-dimensional, variable section casts with a high level of dimensional control can be made from molds consisting of two flat or tailored sheets of flexible material (such as fabric) held between rigid clamps. The clamping materials control the shape and dimension of the mold in the X and Y directions while the flexible sheets are allowed to deflect in the Z direction. Void shapes in the truss can be obtained when the clamping material presses the two sheets together.
