  • Patent number: 12202063
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a “Smart Cut” system and method for efficiently and accurately converting material length using a powered saw, such as a miter saw, are disclosed. Certain embodiments are configured such that a user of a miter saw may position a board or other material beneath the miter saw blade, and cut the material to a desired length, without any need to mark a measurement on the material prior to cutting it. It is an advantage of certain embodiments that a typical retractable tape measurement device, a portable tool that is ubiquitous in the construction industry, may be leveraged to indicate proper positioning of the material prior to cutting.

  • Patent number: 11544389
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and method for performing secure computing while maintaining data confidentiality. In one exemplary aspect, a method receives, via an application, both data and a request to perform a secure operation on the data, wherein the secure operation is to be performed using a secure compute engine on a cloud platform such that the data is not viewable to a provider of the cloud platform. The method applies transformations to the data so that the data is not viewable to the provider. The method transmits the transformed data to the secure compute engine on the cloud platform to perform the secure operation on the transformed data, receives a result of the secure operation from the secure compute engine, and transmits the result to the application.

  • Publication number: 20170188723
Abstract: A security device may include a body portion and a gate assembly. The body portion is disposed between two substantially parallel, longitudinally extending support members of a peg hook. The gate assembly is operably coupled to the body portion to rotate about an axis of rotation that is substantially perpendicular to a direction of extension of the support members. The gate assembly includes a first gate portion and a second gate portion. The gate assembly has a rest state in which the first gate portion extends substantially in a plane in which the support members lie and the second gate portion extends out of the plane such that movement of a product supported by the peg hook along the support members toward a distal end of the peg hook causes the product to rotate the gate assembly to an extraction position in which the second gate portion is substantially in the plane and the first gate portion is rotated out of the plane.
