  • Patent number: 11195616
Abstract: Disclosed herein are platforms, systems, devices, software, and methods for processing and analyzing real-time data to generate predictions of near future events. Machine learning algorithms can be configured for varying levels of aggression to enhance timeliness of the predictions. Ensemble machine learning techniques combining a plurality of trained models configured with higher and lower aggression levels can be used to improve both timeliness and accuracy.

  • Patent number: 10827039
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method includes receiving, from a data source, time-series data of a time-series data stream produced by the data source. The method further includes identifying a target compression algorithm for the time-series data, wherein the target compression algorithm is linked to the data source in memory pursuant to a dynamically-variable assignment. The method also includes compressing the time-series data using the target compression algorithm and transmitting the compressed time-series data to a destination. Furthermore the method includes periodically optimizing the dynamically-variable assignment in real-time as the time-series data is received.

  • Patent number: 9904707
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request to execute a database statement in satisfaction of a time constraint. The method further includes determining a pattern of the database statement. Additionally, the method includes comparing the pattern to pattern metadata associated with cached samples of the distributed database. Also, the method includes, responsive to a determination that the comparing has resulted in one or more matches, selecting a target sample and causing the database statement to be executed on the target sample. The method further includes, responsive to a determination that the target sample resolves the database statement in satisfaction of the time constraint, returning a resulting dataset to a requestor. Moreover, the method includes, responsive to a determination that the target sample does not resolve the database statement in satisfaction of the time constraint, causing a new real-time sampling of the distributed database to be executed.

  • Patent number: 9372942
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request for data visualization. The request specifies input data, at least one user query, and a data-visualization type. The method further includes inferring at least one additional query based on a user-interface (UI) range of freedom associated with the request. In addition, the method includes causing a map-reduce framework to process the input data according to the at least one user query and the at least one additional query. The causing yields resultant data. Further, the method includes storing in a cache a portion of the resultant data that relates to the at least one additional query. The method also includes generating the requested data visualization based on a portion of the resultant data that relates to the at least one user query.

  • Publication number: 20080169163
Abstract: A harmonic dampener includes a first body having an internal cavity. A first mounting is provided on the first body. An elongated second body is telescopically received within the internal cavity of the first body. Dampening means are positioned within the internal cavity of the first body and adapted to dampen telescopic movement of the second body relative to the first body. A second mounting is provided on the second body. The second mounting is a slot adapted to receive a mounting pin. The slot defines a free travel limit for the mounting pin. Movement of the mounting pin within the slot caused by vibrations and oscillations does not energize the dampening means unless such movement exceeds the free travel limit defined by the slot.

  • Publication number: 20070228222
Abstract: A method of improving lift of an aircraft wing. The method consists of a single step of mechanically generating a supplemental laminar air flow over the aircraft wing with a view to creating an area of low pressure over the aircraft wing which serves to enhance lift properties of the aircraft wing.
