  • Publication number: 20240249191
Abstract: A system and method for automated document page classification and targeted data extraction. A method for identifying document page types using deep learning (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), and page classification, based on trained models. The layout of the page, as well as where the features are on a given page, from which text is to be extracted are trained on (with human input guiding the construction) and stored in these models. Different types of pages, including text and images, could then be stored in these models, which can then be used for identifying the content on each page to look for the desired feature from which to extract text. Based on a page prediction, the solution then uses the appropriate pre-trained feature extraction model (if one exists) to extract the areas of interest for further OCR processing (retrieving the text).

  • Publication number: 20240251017
Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for connecting a proxy client to a transport client through a transport service with a plurality of stateless transport server nodes in a distributed computing system uses a command channel established from the transport client to a first transport server node in the transport service. A second transport server node in the transport service is selected for a connection request from the proxy client. The first transport server node is connected from the second transport server node when the second transport server node is not the first transport server node with the command channel so that connectivity between the proxy client and the transport client is established through the first transport server node and the second transport server node.

  • Patent number: 12041196
Abstract: The invention enables digital music content to be downloaded to and used on a portable wireless computing device. An application running on the wireless device has been automatically adapted to parameters associated with the wireless device without end-user input (e.g. the application has been configured in dependence on the device OS and firmware, related bugs, screen size, pixel number, security models, connection handling, memory etc. This application enables an end-user to browse and search music content on a remote server using a wireless network; to download music content from that remote server using the wireless network and to playback and manage that downloaded music content. The application also includes a digital rights management system that enables unlimited legal downloads of different music tracks to the device and also enables any of those tracks stored on the device to be played so long as a subscription service has not terminated.

  • Patent number: 12019086
Abstract: An improved system and method for the selection and dispensing of reagents onto a target testing medium in an automated laboratory environment. The system utilizes multiple carousels rotatably-mounted upon a central turntable. The position of the central turntable, as well as the rotation of each carousel is controlled by a microprocessor-based control system. Multiple dispensers, each capable of storing and dispensing a particular reagent, are mounted about the circumference of each carousel. This configuration provides much higher reagent density than previously available. The testing medium is positioned at one or more loading stations. The control system directs the central turntable to a position from which a selected one of the carousels can be rotated so as to position a selected dispenser above the testing medium. The selected dispenser is then actuated to release a predetermined reagent onto the testing medium.
