  • Patent number: 11836990
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating alignment parameters for processing data associated with a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving image data associated with an environment of the vehicle; receiving lidar data associated with the environment of the vehicle; processing, by a processor, the image data to determine data points associated with at least one vehicle identified within image data; processing, by the processor, the lidar data to determine data points associated with at least one vehicle identified within the lidar data; selectively storing the data points in a data buffer based on at least one condition associated with a quality of the data points; processing, by the processor, the data points in the data buffer with a joint analysis method to generate alignment parameters between the lidar and the camera; and processing future data based on the alignment parameters.

  • Publication number: 20070247380
Abstract: An antenna for use in an automatic meter reading (AMR) module comprises a pin and a radiator. The radiator may be a disk radiator for example, that comprises an opening which may receive the pin. Desirably, the pin is affixed to the radiator at one end, and is disposed on a ground plane at the other end. The antenna may be a top loaded short monopole antenna, for example. Additionally, the antenna may be used in a module for a water meter. The pin and disk radiator may be stamped from a single sheet of material.

  • Publication number: 20070182623
Abstract: The invention includes a method and associated apparatus to perform on-line fine alignment of multiple object-locating sensors. Up to three geometrical parameters, two for location, one for bearing alignment, can be computed for each sensor based upon object trajectories. The method includes establishing initial values for alignments of each sensor relative to a vehicle coordinate system, and determining positions for a target object for each of the object-locating sensors. A trajectory is determined for the target object. The alignment of each of the object-locating sensors is adjusted relative to the coordinate system for the vehicle based upon the trajectory for the target object.
