Abstract: A method for managing an elevator service to a floor by an elevator system is provided, the method including: generating a first estimation on an aggregate need of an elevator service for a group of individuals in a predefined area, the aggregate need being generated by combining a number of estimations descriptive on a need of the elevator service by each individual at a first instant of time; comparing the first estimation to a first reference value; generating a first control signal to reserve a number of elevators to serve a section the floor belongs to in response to a detection that the first estimation fulfills a condition defined by the first reference value. A control system, an elevator system, and a computer readable medium are also provided.

Abstract: In a method for allocating an elevator in an elevator system, the elevator system including elevator groups, each group including elevators, the elevator groups being formed based on a load unbalance of the elevators, the method includes: detecting received service calls in a predefined time window; evaluating a number of passengers requesting service based on the received number of service calls; selecting, based on the evaluated number of passengers, an elevator group to serve the floor; and allocating an elevator belonging to the selected elevator group to provide service. Abstract: A method for allocating an elevator in a destination floor elevator system. An elevator group includes several elevators, a passenger data terminal for reserving elevators for use by passengers, and an elevator group control system for controlling the elevators in response to signals from the passenger data terminal. The method includes inputting the size and destination floor of the group of passengers into the control system of the elevator group, allocating one or more elevators to the group of passengers by utilizing the size and destination floor of the group, and informing the members of the group of passengers about the allocation.
