The pattern may be arise from differences in the microstructure of the web. The nonwoven material may have an embossed pattern having a basic, static component and a dynamic component which varies within a given length of the nonwoven web. Further, a method is provided for obtaining information from a nonwoven web, comprising observing the web surface using an optical reading device, collecting data based on differences in optical properties in the web surface, storing in a digital memory a pattern based on the collected data and comparing the stored pattern to a collection of previously stored patterns.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a manufacturing process of equipment for use in the production of nonwoven fabrics and paper products. According to the present invention, a sleeve for an embossing roller is produced using additive manufacturing, specifically 3D printing. These technologies permit the preparation of pattern-forming and dewatering details in the sleeve in a single operation. The dewatering properties may thus be optimised for the selected pattern, resulting in uniform dewatering tailored for the pattern. Preferably, the technique used is stereolithography.

The transmission line strips (311) and other conductors are formed by printing conductive material on the outer surface of the ceramic piece (301) and in its interlayers, when required. The conductors between the surfaces are formed by filling the hole made through the layer or layers with conductive material. The resistive components (321) parallel with and between the surfaces are formed in a similar manner. The structure according to the invention is relatively small and reliable, and its manufacturing costs are low.
