  • Patent number: 7311804
Abstract: Doctor blades are provided for multiple positions within a paper or board making machine. A single doctor blade of a standard length or a reel of doctor blade material has markings which permit a variety of doctor blade sizes to be readily cut. If a standard length doctor blade is used, the length of the blade is chosen to be at least as long as the longest doctor blade required for a particular papermaking machine. If the material is in a reel, the markings may be at regular numbered intervals. If a pattern of rivets is connected to the blade, and the rivets must have a given relationship with a blade holder, blade length may be marked out in such a way that some blade material is discarded in order to position the rivets when shorter blades are cut from the blade reel.

  • Publication number: 20040260616
Abstract: A delivery system for consumption and/or spare parts of machinery and equipment in the processing industries. In the system the supplier prepares the spare part as a blank, which is finished except for customer-specific characteristics. The customer contacts the supplier's portal and places an order for a spare part. The supplier registers the order and arranges for transportation of a spare part blank with a special vehicle, equipped to finish the spare part blank. The supplier finishes the spare part blank in the vehicle and delivers it to the customer.

  • Patent number: 6360758
Abstract: A cleaning device in a paper or board machine, for cleaning a fabric therein, the fabric moving in a direction of movement. The device comprises a nozzle which directs a water shower or jet against the fabric which is to be cleaned, the nozzle including a first turning point, and wherein there is a first plane of the water shower or jet issuing from the nozzle. A plurality of water conduits which transport water to the nozzle. And, the nozzle being mounted so that the position thereof may be changed by turning the nozzle back and forth around the first turning point in the first plane, so as to change the direction of the water shower or jet discharged from the nozzle and so that the water shower is moved in a first linear movement.

  • Patent number: 5664731
Abstract: A decontamination valve for a jet pipe in a paper or board machine, including a disc valve having a closed position and an open position. The disc valve is in the closed position when the jet pipe is in operation and is in the open position when the jet pipe is being cleaned in order to remove cleaning/washing water used in the cleaning process. The disc valve is arranged to close in the same direction in which pressure effective in the jet pipe attempts to shift the valve.

  • Patent number: 5285026
Abstract: The invention concerns a reactive sound attenuator for air-conditioning ducts, in particular for air ducts in paper mills. The sound attenuator includes at least two chambers separated from another by means of a partition wall. The partition wall is provided with an opening or with a tube placed in the direction of flow of the air flowing through the sound attenuator, the air flowing through said opening or tube out of one chamber into the other. The main plane of the partition wall is at an acute angle in relation to the direction of air flow through the sound attenuator. Preferably, the partition wall is at an angle .alpha. from about 40.degree. to about 70.degree. in relation to the direction of air flow through the sound attention.

  • Patent number: 5260523
Abstract: An absorptive sound attenuator, which is intended particularly for intake and/or exhaust air ducts in paper mills. The sound attenuator comprises a box-like duct housing (10), in whose interior there is an inner tube (19), which is provided with through perforations (19a) and which forms the air duct (20). Around the inner tube is placed sound absorbing material (21, 22). The inner tube (19) defines the air duct (20) in its interior, the sound being absorbed in the area of the air duct (20). In order to facilitate cleaning and/or replacing of the sound attenuator components and the absorption material (21,22,26) in the duct housing (10) the absorptive sound attenuator is provided with openable outer walls (13a,13b,14a,14b,13A,13B). When these walls are open, the absorption material (21,22,26) can be removed and/or replaced from outside the inner tube (19).
