In one embodiment, a mirror assembly can be used to position a mirror in front of a camera, reflecting a view of the camera downward towards a whiteboard or other drawing surface, allowing a user to show a drawing during a video conference. In another embodiment, video data and audio data of a user in a video conference can be analyzed to determine what portions of the video data and audio data should be transmitted to a remote participant in the video conference. Unintentional input supplied by the user in the video data and audio data may be used to determine which portions of the video data and audio data to transmit.

    Abstract: A lid controller hub (LCH) comprising processing components located in the lid of a mobile computing device, such as a laptop, processes sensor data generated by input sensors (microphones, cameras, touchscreen) and provides for improved and enhanced experiences over existing devices. For example, the LCH provides hardened privacy and the synchronization of touch display activities with the display refresh rate, the latter providing for a smoother and more responsive touch experience over existing designs. The LCH comprises neural network accelerators and digital signal processors that enable waking a device upon detection of an authenticated user's voice or face. The LCH also allows for video- and audio-based contextual awareness and adaptive cooling. By enabling a reduced hinge wire count and a typical day's usage with a single battery charge, an LCH can also provide for an improved industrial design to a simpler hinge and smaller battery.

    Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device that can be configured to include a user facing camera to capture a video stream of a user, a display presenting content, and display illumination logic to determine the user is insufficiently illuminated in the video stream, in response to the determination, reconfigure a first portion of the display as an illumination region and a second portion of the display as a content region, and increase the brightness of one or more pixels in the illumination region to better illuminate the user. In an example, the display includes micro light emitting diodes (microLEDs) and the one or more areas of the display in the full illumination configuration includes microLEDs at full brightness. In addition, in some examples, the content is resized to accommodate the one or more areas of the display that entered into the full illumination configuration.
