    Abstract: A method enables mobility in a wireless network consuming less resources than prior art methods. The wireless network contains mobile devices, base stations, and a network server connected to the Internet. The method uses IP headers within the wireless networks, in place of Mobile IP headers. A base station changes mobile device's home address to a care-of address when the mobile device sends a packet to the network server. Correspondingly, the base station changes the care-of address to the mobile device's home address when the network server sends a packet to the mobile device.
