    Abstract: An illuminated decorative cover for a device, and a cellular telephone having such a cover. The illuminated decorative cover includes a cover member having an inner surface and an outer surface, an optical fiber member having an input end and having a side surface adapted to transmit light therethrough, and a light source adjacent the input end of the optical fiber member to emit light from the light source to the optical fiber member for transmission from the side surface of the optical fiber member. The optical fiber member is incorporated with the cover member in a pattern, causing light from the optical fiber member to be visible through the outer surface of the cover member in the pattern when the light source is emitting light.
