  • Publication number: 20250305903
Abstract: In a method for detecting the presence of water or additional water, which exists because of a leak, the following steps are carried out: attaching at least one pair of electrodes to/in an object, to/in the presence of water is to be determined; applying an electrical voltage between the electrodes; testing whether electrical current or electrical current that is increased relative to a basic current flows between the electrodes; and detecting the presence of water in the case of flowing current. When implementing the method, at least two electrodes are used, wherein one electrode can be a ground. The electrodes are arranged separated from one another. DC or AC voltage is applied to the electrodes by a device. The device detects a measured value corresponding to the intensity of the current flowing between the electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20230323647
Abstract: An insert, which can be installed as an odor stopper in the drain area of a household installation, e.g., in a drain pipe, includes a cylindrical area, which has a flange that projects outward. The insert also includes a closure area with an elastically deformable wall part. In the closure position, the wall part of the closure area rests against an opposite wall of the insert. In this case, the free edge of the wall part rests against the opposite wall from inside, creating an odor stopper. When water flows through the drain pipe, the wall part of the closure area is moved away from the opposite wall by the draining water, so that the closure area is opened. As soon as no more water flows through the insert, the wall part of the closure area again rests against the opposite wall, so that the odor stopper is created.

  • Patent number: 9804102
Abstract: A device (1) for registering data and features of ducts includes at least one camera (3, 5), at least one distance measurement apparatus and at least one apparatus for measuring properties of the medium contained in the duct. Furthermore, provision can be made for an illumination apparatus (4), a tracking sensor (10), which emits data in relation to the current position of the device (1), and an inclination measurement device (inclinometer and gyroscopic compass 9). The device can have a passive or active drive for moving the device (1) along the duct. The device (1) can register a length recording of the duct with the aid of photo geometry or with sound, radar, acceleration sensors and/or mechanical distance measurements. Thus, after a duct has been inspected, each point can be assigned precisely in terms of length.
