  • Publication number: 20220054011
Abstract: Multi-modality imaging systems and methods for enabling controllable and/or automated switching between different imaging systems or modes. An imaging system includes a base plate having a first exposed region and a second region, a sample stage configured to hold a sample platform, and a first translation mechanism configured to translate the sample stage on the base plate along a first axis between a first position and a second position. In the first position the sample stage is positioned proximal to the first exposed region, and in the second position, the sample stage is positioned proximal to the second region. An illumination device is configured to illuminate a portion of the first exposed region, and a second translation mechanism is configured to translate the illumination device along a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis.

  • Patent number: 10694948
Abstract: A first exoskeleton is in communication with a central server or a peripheral device. The first exoskeleton collects first data and transmits the first data to the central server or peripheral device. The central server or peripheral device generates second data using the first data and transmits the second data to the first exoskeleton or a second exoskeleton.

  • Publication number: 20120097641
Abstract: Method and device for the plasma treatment of a substrate in a plasma device, wherein—the substrate (110) is arranged between an electrode (112) and a counter-electrode (108) having a distance d between a surface area of the substrate to be treated and the electrode, —a capacitively coupled plasma discharge is excited, forming a DC self-bias between the electrode (112) and the counter-electrode (108), —in an area of the plasma discharge between the surface area to be treated and the electrode having a quasineutral plasma bulk (114), a quantity of at least one activatable gas species, to which a surface area of the substrate to be treated is subjected, is present —it is provided that a plasma discharge is excited, —wherein the distance d has a value comparable to s=se+sg, where se denotes a thickness of a plasma boundary layer (119) in front of the electrode, and sg denotes a thickness of a plasma boundary layer (118) in front of the substrate surface to be treated or —wherein the quasineutral plasma bulk (114

  • Publication number: 20050111662
Abstract: A method of promoting and distributing music and similar streaming content on the Internet or a similar network, combining the secure submission of streaming content by its originators to a plurality of potential webcasters; the selection and webcasting of such submitted content by webcasters; the downloading of selections from webcasts by listeners; and the collection and distribution of fees from such downloads, all using software made freely available for download from the network.

  • Publication number: 20050114116
Abstract: A device and process for event-activated recording generally includes the steps of providing an acquisition buffer having at least one finite extent of a recording medium. Events are recorded in the acquisition buffer. Current events in place of earlier events are then recorded within the acquisition buffer. Action by the user or triggering system activates the preservation of all or part of the record of the most recent events recorded in the acquisition buffer upon the detection of one or more predetermined events. A portion of the record of events selected by the user is preserved by reserving a portion of the record of events from being overwritten by other events, and/or by transferring the selected portions of the record of events to a predetermined permanent location.
