  • Publication number: 20150107954
Abstract: A device used to achieve a releasable connection between two components and at least one shaft on which the components are rotatably mounted. A switching element that is mounted on the shaft can be coupled to one of the components in a non-rotatable fashion by relative motion in the axial direction of the shaft between the components and the switching element. Toothing profiles of the components each comprise at least two spaced-apart teeth rows. A toothing profile of the switching element is provided with at least three spaced-apart rows of teeth, of which at least two teeth rows of the switching element can be brought into a position where they overlap/engage with the two teeth rows of the first component and also where this happens for at least two of the three teeth rows of the switching element with the two teeth rows of the second component.

  • Patent number: 8862735
Abstract: An enterprise network may be managed. A graphical user interface (GUI) that shows IP address allocations for the network and that allows a user to configure DHCP scopes and DNS zones may be provided. A new host reservation request may be received from a user. The request may be translated into a first protocol and provided to a DHCP control server for processing. Based on the processing, configurations of multiple DHCP servers may be updated, to include the new host reservation, and provided to a configuration storage system for (at least temporary) storage and access by the multiple DHCP servers. The request may be translated into a second protocol and provided to a DNS management server for processing. Based on the processing, a configuration for a DNS server may be updated, to include the new host reservation, and stored in a DNS database.

  • Patent number: 8427801
Abstract: Rectifier circuits which are usable, instead of diodes, for rectifying alternating voltages, and which, like diodes, form two-terminal networks having a cathode terminal and an anode terminal. The power loss of these rectifier circuits is clearly less that the power loss of silicon p-n diodes. These rectifier circuits also include voltage clamping functions.

  • Patent number: 8377679
Abstract: The present invention pertains to the use of probiotics for the preparation of a carrier for balancing the skin's immune function. In particular, the present invention pertains to the use of probiotic micro-organisms for balancing the skin's immune function under stress conditions, such as a exposure to ultraviolet radiation, specifically for enhancing the skin's immune activity and reducing the tendency to develop allergic reactions under such conditions.

  • Publication number: 20100259137
Abstract: A generator, for example a three-phase generator including an associated rectifier system, is used, for example for the electrical voltage supply of a motor vehicle. The AC voltage produced by the generator is rectified by the rectifier system having a plurality of rectifying elements 2, 7. Rectifying elements 2 of the rectifier have a plurality of series connections of a self-conducting n-channel JFET and a self-conducting p-channel JFET, the gate terminals being connected to the outer source or drain terminals of the other transistor. Alternatively, the self-conducting JFETS of the rectifying element 2in FIG. 1 may be replaced by self-conducting MOS field effect transistors (depletion mode MOSFET). The p-channel JFET of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 is replaced by a self-conducting p-channel MOSFET and the n-channel JFET is replaced by a self-conducting n-channel MOSFET. Furthermore, the gate terminals are connected to the diametrically opposed outer terminals.

  • Publication number: 20090278979
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and software are devised for providing an enable signal indicative that an illuminating element of an apparatus will be illuminated. In response to that enable signal, a light transmission property of an electrically switchable material is increased, the electrically switchable material being located at an exterior of the apparatus. Also, the illuminating element is activated, so that it shines through the electrically switchable material, at least after the light transmission property of the electrically switchable material has been increased.
