  • Patent number: 11744266
Abstract: The present patent application relates to novel red-orange coated particles, which are mainly used in (dry) formulations for instant beverages. The advantage of these coated particles is that they are red to orange as such (also in the formulations for instant beverages, wherein they can be identified by the naked eye as individual discrete colored particles), but upon dissolution of the instant beverage powder, the particles will dissolve as well and will not interfere with or change the intended color of the ready-to drink instant beverages made from the instant beverage dry powders.

  • Patent number: 11293799
Abstract: A sensing device includes an aperture structure having an aperture and imaging optics configured to direct polychromatic light toward the aperture. The imaging optics separates the light according to spectral range longitudinally along a first axis The aperture substantially transmits a spectral range of the light and substantially blocks other spectral ranges of the light. An optical detector is arranged to receive the spectral range of the light that is transmitted through the aperture. The optical detector generate an electrical output that corresponds to a centroid of the spectral range of the light.

  • Patent number: 10429387
Abstract: The system includes a simple system for CD4 and CD8 counting in point-of-care HIV staging within resource poor countries. Unlike previous approaches, no sample preparation is required with the sample added directly to a chip containing dried reagents by capillary flow. A large area image cytometer consisting of an LED module is used to excite the fluorochromes PerCP and APC labeled targets and a monochrome CCD camera with a combination of two macro lenses captures images of 40 mm2 of blood (approximately 1 microliter). CD4 and CD8-T-lymphocyte counts correlate well with those obtained by flow cytometry. The cytometer system described in the present invention provides an affordable and easy-to-use technique for use in remote locations.

  • Patent number: 10312213
Abstract: The invention relates to a power semiconductor device with a substrate with a cooling device and power semiconductor components connected thereon, having load current terminal elements and a cooling device. Pressure devices have a pressure element is arranged movably in a direction normal (N) to the substrate, and an elastic deformation element between the pressure element and a load current terminal element. The pressure element presses the assigned load current terminal element against an electrically conductive contact area of the substrate via the elastic deformation element and provides electrically conductive pressure contacting of the assigned load current terminal element with the substrate. The electrical connection of the power semiconductor device is improved.
