  • Patent number: 8671932
Abstract: In order to provide a method of operating a solar thermal power plant, in which a heat transfer medium is evaporated endothermally by solar radiation in an evaporator section, wherein the evaporator section comprises a plurality of evaporator branches, among which the heat transfer medium is distributed, in which method non-uniform radiation conditions of the evaporator section may be effectively taken into consideration, it is provided that the mass flow distribution at the evaporator section is controlled, wherein the mass flows are adjusted individually at all or a majority of the evaporator branches and a controlled variable is a variable characterizing a spatial energy rise in a respective evaporator branch in a region of the evaporator branch where the heat transfer medium has not yet evaporated.

  • Publication number: 20120144831
Abstract: A method of generating superheated steam in a solar thermal power plant is provided, in which in a flow section for heat transfer medium steam is generated by solar energy in an evaporator zone and the steam is superheated by solar energy in a superheater zone. An evaporation end point of the evaporator zone is fixed in position in a control method, in which a spatial temperature gradient in the superheater zone and a temperature in the evaporator zone are determined and the mass flow of heat transfer medium in the flow section is adjusted in dependence upon the temperature gradient and the measured temperature in the evaporator zone.

  • Publication number: 20080184789
Abstract: There is proposed a method of operating a solar thermal process heat plant, in which a heat carrier medium is heated in a heating section by solar radiation, wherein the heating section comprises a plurality of heating branches, among which the heat carrier medium is distributed, comprising measuring at heating branches a state variable of the heat carrier medium, respectively, calculating a mean value of measured state variables over heating branches, and controlling mass flow control valves in the respective heating branches in dependence upon the respective deviation between the measured state variable of the flowing heat carrier medium in the respective heating branch and the calculated mean value.

  • Publication number: 20060254821
Abstract: A probe, particularly for locating trapped victims in avalanches, includes a receiver tuned to the transmitting frequency of transmitting units and with at least one antenna. The receiver is provided with a circuit for level evaluation of the received signals whereby the circuit indicates any surpassing of the signal level while approaching the vicinity of the transmitting unit to make probing easier for the rescuer, to reduce the time needed for this purpose, and to offer significant assistance in the interpretation of different objects detected by means of the probe.

  • Patent number: 6236948
Abstract: In order to develop a method for determining a measured value of a target measured variable of a multiphase flow, in particular, of a two-phase flow, wherein a value of a pressure of the multiphase flow is measured as a primary measured variable by means of a measuring device, with which a desired target measured variable of a multiphase flow, for example, the total mass flow can be determined in a simple manner from a primary measured variable, it is suggested in accordance with the invention that a time development of the primary measured variable be measured, the measured time development of the primary measured variable be compared with reference time developments of the primary measured variable, with which a respective reference value of the target measured variable is associated, and the measured value of the target measured variable be determined from the reference values of the target measured variable as a function of the result of the comparison of the measured development of the primary measured v
