    Abstract: The present disclosure provides novel polypeptides, so called artificial immune receptors or AlRs, that are novel tools for cellular therapies. AIR-expressing regulatory T cells sense these environmental signals and translate them into a Treg TCR-like activating program, enabling Treg cells to fulfill their suppressive and tissue protective functions, independent of a specific TCR- or CAR-antigen and independent of endogenous TCR-MHC restriction.
